Prior to joining The Mercer Company, he founded and led a successful privately owned company in Lake Oswego, Oregon, where he spent 25 years advising clients and building long-term professional relationships. That experience shaped his disciplined work ethic, direct communication style, and deep understanding of the real-world decisions business and property owners face.

His perspective was formed not only through business ownership, but by navigating the same cycles, risks, and uncertainties that owners encounter over time. Having built and grown a company of his own, Tyler understands the weight of responsibility and the importance of making sound, informed decisions when significant assets are involved. He approaches his work with a steady, practical mindset grounded in experience rather than theory.
